Update 13th Jan 2009

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service joins Gay SurreyI am so excited to announce our new working relationships with Surrey Fire and Rescue Service

it’s amazing have to them on board, not only with a dedicated page on our website but as sponsors of The International Day Against Homophobia 2009. Details on http://www.gaysurrey.org/idaho2009.htm

Tracey Fottrell, Service Improvement Manager for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service comments, “Surrey Fire and Rescue Service is firmly committed to equality and diversity within its Service and welcomes the opportunity to support Gay Surrey and join the forthcoming IDAHO event.

Along with colleagues from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, we hope to engage with a wide range of people on the day, enabling us to promote recruitment opportunities and give out life saving fire and road safety advice.

This is a key event for members of the LGBT community and we are proud to be a part of it.“

Gay Surrey would like to thank Tracey, Alan and the team for their support and look forward to a great ongoing relationship

So far we are proud to have on board supporting the event

• Surrey Police
• Surrey Police Authority
• Elmbridge Borough Council
• Woking Borough Council
• The Peacocks Centre, Woking
• The Oatlands Park Hotel, as hosts of the event

Plus a thank you to Surrey Comet and Woking News and Mail for showing their ongoing commitment to raising the profile of IDAHO 2009 and our charity
