A note
Hi, Zoe and I created the Gay Families Group mainly out of a need to meet other families in similar circumstances to ours. Becoming a parent was completely amazing, but we immediately worried about how we all would be accepted by society and the implications our life style would have upon our Son. We simply hoped to find other families like us to help him appreciate that we are not the only gay parents in Surrey ! We wanted to make friends with other gay families, for friendship, for support, for fun, for him and for us.
We welcome all new families to our group. We can proudly say that since we set the group up, we have made the most wonderful friends, and are pleased to open this network to you too.
It doesn't matter if you are in a couple, Mums or Dads, a single parent; bi, trans, or maybe you are thinking of having children and would like a chance to meet other parents who have gone through similar experiences, like IUI / IVF or Adoption. You are all most welcome to join the fun!
